Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

My computer had preinstalled Web Content Control which blocked pages like youtub. After i uninstalled the program, firefox can't connect to any page... please somebody help. It's not a problem with the network. The rest computers on my network have internet access. thanx in advance...
You haven't provided enough information so I suggest that you look at 'How to Ask Questions the Smart Way' so in the future your queries provide information that will aid us in diagnosis of the problem.
The message i get is: "The proxy server is refusing connections"
The computer is connected to the network. i can see, for example,
the files in a computer in the network but i don't have internet access
I did that too. The problem is that it is locked
from the web content control. I have unistalled it from my computer
but the settings are still there. I need a way to act as an administrator
to change these settings. Any ideas??
