Question problem booting from live cd "crc error system halted"


I' having a problem booting from a live cd Linux XP. My system is HP desktop with 20 gb hard drive, 512 memory and 1500 mhz cpu. I Run puppy 301 just fine and decided to try xp. as soon as it trys to boot I get the error "crc error system halted. Any suggestions?

Run a bios memory check. You may also have a bad disc. If you ran puppy, you could check the disc against a published md5 hash.
