problem at gentoo


i use lilo as my bootloader...
but why after i insert
vga=792 it still at resolution of 640 * 480 ?

and wht is modprobe error?
at the begining of the installation it seems need to use this command , but i dont kow how to use it..

anyone can help me?

modprobe loads up modules into the kernel.
What's the error?

it seems hv error with the hardware.....

Did you use genkernel, or did you make one yourself?
