Problem after installation of SLES


Greetings to everyone...
Can enybody say at which file in single mode i can change screen resolution, because after installation of SLES, a can't login at KDE.Atmy monitor a see messege like (exact message i dont remember): "Not optimal resulution. Need 1280x1024".
What i have to do???

I had the same problem. Can you get to command shell as root??
You will have to reconfigure your window manager. I don't remember exactly how to do that. I have to check it out on my server.
If you can get to the shell try startx what error you will get?

Yes, a can get to command shell through single mode...What error i get i will knew at eveninig because it is my home PC. But if you found some info...pls post it!

The file containing the display settings is /etc/X11/xorg.conf .Changing the resolution shouldn't be too difficult
