Problem adding mirror site to 'Software Sourcer Media' with 'YaST.

OS:SUSE LINUX 10.0 dvd
I' having a problem updating my OS using YaST. When I attempt to add a mirror site to '
Software Source Media', it tells me that it is 'Unable to Create Installation Source from URL 'ftp://ftp.oregonstate.edu/pub/suse/suse/i386/update/10.0'. Details 'ERROR (instSrCE_no_instrc_on_media) Try again? Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you solve the problem?

When you add sources using YAST, select the method e.g. ftp. Enter the server name e.g. ftp.oregonstate.edu and then enter the directory name pub/suse/suse/i386/update/10.0/inst-source.

I don't think the problem is with YaST. After following your instructions I strill get the same ERROR message. Also If I go to the mirror site and right click and select 'add directory as yast source', It te4lls me that the source3 has been added. When open the yast 'Software Media Source' its not there. Any suggestions?

I have just looked at the mirror and it has no valid inst-source thats why its failing. Its an update mirror that you use through YOU.

When I open 'YOU' Warning: Cannot fetch remote server list. Only user-defined patch sources will be available. Possible solution: Check network connection. Details<< URL:http://suse.de/cgi-bin/suseservers.cgi<br> couldn't connect to host.
I am using 'my.yahoo.com' as my home page. out of the four web browsers available, only 'Konqueror' will connect to the home page. YaST will not connect to 'online updates'. It has to be something to do with my 'high speed internet connection' but I have yet to discover what the problem is.

Thanks for your help.
