prob in installation of quicktime4linux
hi there
i m using slackware 10.0 i want to install quicktime4linux-2.0.0. it manual indicated to perform following cmds : 1.make 2.make util now it says: The makefiles automatically configure themselves. The library is in i686/libquicktime.a. You should manually set the CFLAGS environment variable with the optimum optimization parameters for your i686 derivative. what does that means?? what is CFLAGS?? |
You thought of using mplayer?
That sounds overly-complicated. |

rizhun i thought of using mplayer . but still i want to use quicktime.can u help regards |
CFLAGS is an environment variable that contains flags that get passed to your compiler when the makefile runs it. You don't need to edit them, they might be suggesting to but it isn't necessary. Perhaps a Gentoo user wrote the software :p
