Printing issue on Linux 2.6.32-71.el6.x86_64

Hi Guys,

I am facing a strange printing issue, I have configured an Epson LQ 690 Printer using following:

lpd://IP Address of Printer/lp

When I print from Linux, there is no issue in printing, but when I print from my business application there is some timeout issue, means, if I am printing continuously then everything from application will be printed fine, but if I print after a gap from that application, it doesn't print the first print, then I print from my application, it prints, strange behaviour in cups

Printed job from the application is reaching the cups but it gets held in the queue, any thoughts or hints to sort-out this issue as this is critical business application.

Cheers.

Quote:

Yes it is network printer, Epsone LQ 690 Printer, using D-Link print server.

It is configured using lpd using above syntax and I'm printing from my application using cat filename | lp -d PRINTERNAME

It is an Automotive Dealer Management System, which uses K-ISAM database and KCML programming language. Regards.
