Printing/AOL/Mouse

Hi,

I have a few questions...

1.) I am currently running Red Hat Linux 9. I tried to set up my printer (HP PSC 1210v), but am having trouble. I did not see my printer model listed in CUPS (I believe that is the program). Therefore I went to Linuxprinting.org and downloaded a *.ppd file. I then followed the steps located at linuxprinting regarding foomatic setup.

I went back into the printer configuration tool and still do not see my printer listed. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

2.) My mouse moves slowly across the screen. Is there a way to change the speed settings? When I go into the mouse configuration tool (I don't select anything) and click OK. It seems to speed up. Why is this?

3.) I am trying to connect to AOL using Penggy. When I try to install Penggy it says I am missing the following files:

libguile.so.6
libqthreads.so.0

I read in another forum that these files are included in an older version of guile. I tried to install the older version of guile and it says there is a newer version already installed. How do I uninstall the new version of guile? I looked in the Package Manager but cannot find it? Is there a command to uninstall it?

I am a complete Newbie to Linux so please be detailed in your explinations. Thanks

Ryan
