Can you tell us what you're having difficulty reading or ask a specific question? Epson printers are usually handled well by Linux systems without much user intervention, but without knowing what you're trying (i.e., CUPS, system-config-printer, ) it's hard to offer advice.

Connect your printer, then open your PCLinux Control Center, go to Hardware and use the Configure printing and scanning wizard.

"The easy way to achieve great things is to understand it first." -konfutze- You should have posted here in what particular stage are you having any issue so that we can pinpoint your location: the carrier signal of "difficulty" is very broad. As a newbie in gnu/linux it is a big help to have a ready reference, sort of tutorial in hand while tackling new problems in controlling the system. Download a very good tutorial here. Come back with a wiser question for wiser response. Epson SX-218 & SX-125 are supported in Linux according to this page, see if SX-218 works for you. Mostly linux drivers work for several versions. Generally installation of printers in Gnu/Linuxes is via CUPS (Common Unix Printing System). Be sure your printer is plugged 'ON'. Launch a web browser 'Firefox' and put an address: 'http://127.0.0.1:631' --note the colon between the IP and port number. Being there in the CUPS goto Administration -> Install New Printer -> blah blah easy to follow instructions: I am certain the driver for SX-218 shall be there available. Hope this helps. Good luck. |
