Printer setup
 

Hi People, I hope it's Ok to do this, I've just solved a problem that I had, and as I couldn't find the answer in any docs or forms, I thought I'd post it here.

I couldn't get my HP Deskjet 850C working even though every thing seemed set up fine and I'd been thru all the Howtos, yet I could print under Windows. Being new to Linux I thought I was configuring something wrong, but finally I checked the BIOS and my Parallel Port was set to "Auto" configure, I just changed this to the standard Parallel Port settings and "the crowd went wild"
