Printer settings in Lubuntu Xcfe now works without sudo.


Printer settings in Lubuntu Xfce now works without sudo-no lock or unlock button. I have no idea how that happened. No, I didn't mess with the files. I did system updates though.

Yes both do. I think Lubuntu developers figured you don't need gksu access for printer setups for home users or even small offices. I don't know if it is the same in other flavors of Ubuntu and Ubuntu itself.

actually this was handle a long time ago. When the malware that hurt windows servers and would actually work throuh printers cups interface and delete the linux tree.

so Linus bitched why do we have to be root or super user to set up a printer this is absolutely stupid.
