Unhappy Printer Not Printing!

Hello.

First of all, this is my first question / post, thank you for your patience and helps!

I have a problem using Kodak 305 printer with my raspberry pi running on raspbian.

I could not find any drivers from the official site, searched for days, after several days found gutenprint (gutenprint.sourceforge.net) downloaded and installed latest release, now i can see my printer model on cups and successfully installed.

After installation process, tried to print some test pages and photos, could not succeeded...

I have already asked a question on the askubuntu page, no one could helped, even gave bounty, now waiting. See here:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/85487...printer-driver

Anyways; copying updates here.

lsusb output:

Welcome to LQ!

Unfortunately the news seems to be bad for your setup.
From the Gutenprint 5.2.11 release notes:
Quote:
Kodak 305 [experimental] [*1]
Ciaat Brava 21 [experimental] [*1]
Mitsubishi CP-D80DW [experimental] [*1]
Sinfonia S6145/CS2 [experimental] [*1]

[*1] Please note that these models utilize a print engine that
requires the host system to process the print data using
unknown algorithms. Until these algorithms can be determined
and re-implemented, these models are unsuitable for general
use due to very poor output quality.
So, you can try adding the image processing library linked from your Ubuntu thread.
Quote:
Note that Gutenprint 5.2.12-pre5 or newer will include all necessary selphy_print changes, but not the processing library

I already downloaded and installed selphy_print. It's not working with raspbian (gives usb timeout error)

Thanks to a helpful friend, we got selphy_print work with ubuntu (vm), but only selphy test print was working.

Our conversation and all tests are here:

Will try to install ubuntu to an old machine and try with it.

I hate to be the barrier of bad news but Kodak does not support Linux.

A few years ago I tried everything under the sun to get Ubuntu to work with my Kodak printer and all efforts failed. I got rid of the printer and purchased an HP.
