First, THIS IS NOT URGENT FOR ANYONE HERE...we volunteer our time, so asking for/expecting 'urgent' help is fairly rude. Second, you provide ZERO DETAILS about the problem...you don't tell us what version/distro of Linux you're using, how the printer is connected to the server, or show that you've done any basic diagnostics. Have you type in 'lpstat -t' to see if the queue is accepting jobs, is enabled/busy, etc? Checked the printer to make sure it's saying "READY", instead of "OFFLINE"...since if the printer is not ready to accept jobs, then turning it off/back on will cause it to go to a ready state, and print.

Would you like to share your fix so others with a similar problem could benefit?

Actually problem was that. printer was connected to network port and an ip address was provided to printer by DHCP. Every system was connected to it using local network only. Automatically printer use to go on sleep mode. when someone tries to give the print, it use not to print anything. but as we use to restart the printer than it started giving print. one day it totally stuck. in any how it was not printing anything. finally on that day i created CUPS and shared the printer. then automatically printer showed in every linux sytsem as remote printer. I saw it when ran command "system-config-printer". I removed local printer from every linux machine and then remote printer was already set to default printer. Every linux system was able to give print on the same printer and it started giving print on instant time and i was able to monitor those print on CUPS web administration page also.

For windows:--
I created samba and shared printer there and connected every windows system using samba. I did not feel any issue.

Only in one condition now printer will not print. In case if my printer is off and some one has tried to give print then printer will be disable in my linux system. i will have to enable it using "system-config-printer" then only any system will be able to print.
