Printer HL1430 wouldnt print
 
Hi,
i unable to print with my printer HL1430. I did install cupwrapper for HL1430. I get it from Brother's website. I able to choose what printer but when i try to print, nothing printed out. It says status sending..ive check the parallel cable is in good condition as well as the port. Any idea what happen? Thank You.

You can get a good idea of what is happening by using the CUPS web administration interface. Point your web browswer to http://localhost:631 and look around. If you try to change anything it will ask you for login credentials. You can use the root account and its password to gain privileges in CUPS.

Hi ,thanks for helping.. but again i stuck at the login place. i try to search help from web and i follow few methods :
1.Edit /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
i put # infront of AuthType Basic and AuthClass System ,restart CUps service but useless.

2.http://gnugalaxy.com/?p=8

i try to reset/change my root password, but still no joy too..=( cannot make changes.
