Print Screen don't work. Debian/Elive

Hi!

Running Elive E17

Print screen button does nothing, and the short cut config option does not have print screen. Is there any other way to take a screen shoot?

Have a look at scrot:

http://packages.debian.org/lenny/scrot

It's a command line screenshot utility.

you sure it does nothing?
per default it will shot the whole screen after 60 seconds and save it to /home/user/desktop.
Else use any other screenshot-application (i used ksnapshot for a while, but there might be others ).

you could also try unloading and reloading the screenshot-module (open the root-menu with a left-click on the screen or hit the window-button,then settings, modules).

Code:
dpkg -l | grep gnome-screenshot
sudo aptitude search gnome-screenshot

Same thing happened to me just recently. I use KDE on Debian and I fixed it by opening my "Systems Settings". And going to "start up and shutdown" and then choosing the side tab of "Service Manager". My "Input Actions" was not checked. Whether this is checked or not makes keyboard actions work, such as pushing the Print Screen button.

This fixed it for me. I just had to check that button.
