Complete newbie! Have successfully installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron on my second "ex-windows" PC. Problems are, I can see the windows shares on both my windows desktop and laptop, and can access both from linux, but not vice versa!! Also, I have no idea how to print through my networked printer via the linux pc. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it, but please remember that I am completely new to linux, and any help will need to be pretty precise, sorry.........
Okay, no responses, but in the meantime I have managed to install and print using the network from Ubuntu. I still have no idea as to how I get my Windows PC to add and access the Linux machine on the network. So, any help would be appreciated folks!?

Hello,
To access Linux Shares via Internal network you must install SAMBA from Administration-->Synaptic Package Manager ann search for it; and then simple right click on the folder that you want to share and..good luck

Okay, I have now managed to set up shares on the Linux machine, but I still cannot add it to my Windows network. Any further help would be gratefully received.
