Preserving my dual-boot after Windows install

The time has come where I need to reinstall Windows. I currently have my laptop setup to dual-boot Slack 9.1 and XP through LILO. Works very nicely.

Since I plan on formatting my Windows partition (where the MBR lies), i have a feeling this would mess things up a bit :)

How can I get LILO back after my Windows format/install?

The windows install will probably clear the MBR, just boot into slackware off a slack boot disk and run lilo after you install windows and you should be back up and running.

Here are some detailed instructions on how to set up the windows NT loader to boot to either XP or Linux. This works best when XP uses the NTFS file system.
