prefix for rpm packages

Hi,
I have downloaded an RPM PACKAGE and I don't want to install it in /usr/bin BUT in /opt/kde3/bin. How can I make that?
Thank you

You may try
--prefix <path>
or
--relocate <oldpath>=<newpath>
rpm options. But I'm not sure if it's the right solution in your case. Just test it before installing (with a smaller and less important packege).

hmm, relocate doesn't always work though ... like for the mysql rpm packages as far as I can remember. Too bad
