Yes, it's possible, but you have to provide details. Just saying "didn't successful", tells us nothing. There are several how-to guides that detail how to use SSH/SFTP with private keys.

I have .ppk that i can use from WINScp to login into the machine using sftp protocol. but when i try from sftp command i didn't get the right option to use it.
My question is why winscp can login into the machine using sftp protocol & .ppk file but my command sftp doesn't work from Centos. Can you please give me the syntax how to get into the machine using .ppk? The URL you provided didn't work.

Thanks,

AGAIN, have you tried to look it up? And you've still not provided useful details:

Again, you can just read the man page on ssh/sftp, and pay particular attention to the "private key" option.

Comes right up for me, as do many others I can find with a Google search.
