power hit - now, blank bottom panel (10.0 SUSE)

EDIT - OK, I figured it out. Highly configurable interface! I don't know why
the panel properties changed for applets, but it was all there in the documentation...

Thanks

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

We had a power hit last night, and after power came back on and I rebooted, the bottom panel doesn't reflect what apps are running when they're minimized. In other words (for example), if I bring up firefox, then minimize it, the minimization just "glances off to the right of the bottom panel" - there's no way to see that I have it running, and for that matter, no way to bring it back up.

I've played with properties, etc. and have been able to manipulate some things on the panel, but still no "minimized" app indicators.

Too much cause (i.e. power hit) and effect (i.e. blank panel) for me to think I accidentally changed a setting, but perhaps (?!) I did. Anyway, any hints on how to restore? It's a 10.0 SUSE dist, so I'm
hoping not to have to reload all 5 CDs to fix the behavior - unless maybe something in the filesystem on the disk got nailed due to the
abrupt, non-orderly shutdown...

Thanks in advance!

Just an aside, I'm sure that the key combo alt+tab works in SuSE, same as most OS's, and will scroll through all open windows for you?
