hi,
due to power failure my system got off, linux red hat 7.1, now require me to scan file system for error. what are the command for checking file system error (like fsck etc.)
Please let me know

well.. fsck ...

IF you're at a stage where you should enter root password etc.... then you should run

fsck /dev/hda5

assumingf you want to check hda5...

well, you don't need to... it'll check itself on the first reboot after failing. if you really think it's necessary, boot your distro cd's on rescue mode
