Exclamation Power Conservation Module White List

Hello,

I just started using Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop. I have setup the machine so it suspend its self (power save mode) after ten minutes. Sometimes, however, I don't want it to shutdown. For example, if I am watching a movie, I may be idle for the movie's duration, but I obviously don't want the computer to turn off. Is there a "whitelist" where I can put commands like "mplayer", "cp", "mv", and "vmware"? How can I whitelist these apps?

Thanks!
