Possible to use AT&T Yahoo DSL on Mandriva

Hi, i'm kinda new to this whole thing. I'm going to switch to linux because I've had it with my Windows operating system. Is it possible to use the installation CD for At&T Yahoo DSL on Linux and be able to get a connection? Would I have to use an emulator? Or would I just plug in the modem and have it work. Please I really need to know by tommorrow.

Thanks :D

Oh actually these days the modem comes with its own ethernet router. You can use it on ANY computer with a working ethernet port. The installation cd is just there to baby step you. You don't really need it, per se. All you really have to do, register with a temporary username and password. Then from there on, you're set. The steps are the same regardless. In fact I avoided the cd myself, even on a windows machine because I didnt want all that yahoo crapped installed on it.
