Portmap error
 
Hei All,,,:)

I need a bit help here,,
actually i want to try tiny honeypot program
this program need portmap and xinetd

i installed both of this program but when i want to excute using this command
==># pmap_set < ./thp/fakerpc
it shown this error

You have installed portmap; but have you actually started the RPC service?

i had same problem, but cant remember how it got fixed! sorry

You'd also have to open the firewall for the protocols used eg portmap = port 111. See /etc/services for a complete list.

try restarting the portmap service and make to be always on after reboot using chkconfig 9in new verison u may find rpccbind)
