Port Scanner Problem


hey does any one know any web sites that i could get a good port scanner for linux?
and how can i find out my IP adress or somebody elses? and how can i find out whats my port number? ty

eh ? you mean ip address ?

/sbin/ifconfig will report your ip_address.

nmap is a greap port scanner.
nmapfe is a gui frontend.

and you can find out sombody else's ip address by asking them nicely...
chances are they will tell you to go fcuk yourself

and dont go port scanning any machines you dont own / are in charge of.
you can get into trouble.
