Smile Port Map error


Hi
I am unable to find how to fixed this issue.Any suggestion will helo me

# service portmap start Starting portmap: portmap: error while loading shared libraries: libnsl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory [FAILED]
need solution for this problem

You have a case of a missing library. First check if it's installed. Look inside '/usr/lib/' for 'libnsl*'.

Yes i have checked & found that libnsl is already present therr. Any other help.. we have recently update the patch of that server.Kindly suggest

'/usr/lib/libnsl.so' should be a symlink to 'libnsl.so.1'.

I have already done the same earlier.. it seems that there is any other issue in other library.. I have updated the glibc and it seems after that the issue was occurred.. Any other possibility
