Port Forwarding on Debian 6.0 (Squeeze) x64

Hello!

I'm trying to look for detailed guides about port forwarding on Debian Squeeze, but I didn't find any.

I'm trying to operate a San Andreas Multiplayer (SA-MP) server on my VPS/Cloud server. The SA-MP server is running, but it doesn't show on the server list.

("Retrieving info" means that the server is either not found or it's down)

The configuration file is already set to it's proper for a SA-MP server to run.

Actually, the SA-MP server is meant for x86 systems (my server is running x64), but the server will still run if "ia32-libs" is installed. The server is running, so I think this is no longer a problem.

I was thinking about the reasons why it doesn't show up on the server list:
  • Some kind of conflict (because my VPS/Cloud server is x64 and the SA-MP server is for x86);
  • Port 7555 is closed;
  • The firewall is blocking the SA-MP server.

However, I am not really sure if the issue is on closed port or firewall. I am also running two ShoutCAST v2 servers on the same VPS/Cloud, and everything is running fine without port forwarding/firewall. Although it could still be a problem.

Looking forward for suggestions on how to fix this issue. Thanks!

First suggestion is to upgrade to Wheezy. Squeeze, if it hasn't already reached it, will be EOL (End Of Life) soon and not be supported anymore.

Hi! Well, the cloud server host said that they won't be supporting Wheezy. I don't know why and what's their problem but I think I should "get over it" because I only received that server for free.

I'm still not losing hope even though it's been a month.
