Poor performance of network hp printer?

Hi all,
My OS is ubuntu ultimate. I am having network printer. When I want to print something from my laptop wirelessly, it gives an error that netwok printer not found and then it queues it. BUT after sometime it prints. BUT it will not print another document immediately but after sometime only. Any solution to make it fast and always available?

It depends where the problem is. It may be a good idea if it's the same if you connect directly to the printer.

To run basic diagnostic (in both direct and wireless situations), have a terminal ready and run a print from some application. Then run lpq command in the terminal. It'll tell you if the printer is processing or the document is if the queue. Run lpq from time to time to see the current status. You'll be able to find out which stage takes so long.

Thanks Mara for the support.
Apparently the problem was in the router. When I changed the router, printing wirelessly is perfect now. Thanks once again.
