Plz help a rookie with Yahoo pool

I have Ubuntu 9.04. I am new to linux, so I have very little idea how to use the command line. my prob is that I have installed java 6 but when I go tp yahoo pool I can get into the lobby but whn I try to open a table I get the message to turn off popup blocker and I have done that with the same result. I have yahoo games as an exception in the popup blocker but still the same messege. All I wanna do is play pool so can someone help?
p.s.
I can't get any yahoo games to load

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

Allow me to give you your first lesson with the terminal (it's really easy!)

Open the terminal, and at the prompt, type:

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

It will ask for your password. You won't see anything while you type it. Press Enter.

(You need more than just Flash- URE installs everything.)

I tried that but it didn't work. This is the messege that I got when I typed what you said to ubuntu-restricted-extras is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
what did I do wrong?
