Plz explain Suspend to Disk and Suspend to Ram
Can anybody please explain me what is and how Suspend to Ram and Suspend to Disk works? And which is one is equal to Hibernate option in M$ Win ?
Which one is faster to rewoke the system and supports wake on lan ?
If anyone can provide some links to read some usefull doucmentation for this that will be a great help...

suspend to RAM: stores the machine state in RAM--keeps the RAM running
suspend to disk: stores it on the hard drive (On the swap partition, in the stuff I am reading)
I think "suspend to disk" and hibernate are equivalent. This option (I think) uses less power, but takes longer to wake up from.
