Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Please, please, please help me and my techy from going mad!
It was my idea to get Linux to start putting on systems which we sell in the shop. But first i thought, we need to get to grips with the software. Easier said than done! We are no way going to get beat by this as I feel Linux is an all round far better os than anythying MS can muster. But I'm begging for sanity, please could you help us with the following problems we are experiencing?
We both have an Nvidia FX 5500 graphics card in our systems, the techy is running the 64 Bit ver of Suse 9.1 pro, and I am running the standard ver. The problem is we can not seem to get the drivers to be accepted and the hardware acceleration is not available. We have absolutely no clue when it comes to Linux as this is the first time we have both played with it. Any advice?!
I have installed Suse along side XP Pro, did the proper installation for a dual boot system but I can not log into Windows, the option is there no problem and I can see XP when im in Linux but when I try to get into it from the boot menu my system constantly restarts.
I have managed to integrate Yahoo into Kopete but my msn will not work. It tells me the MSN server maybe down, but it isn't. (I kinda get the feeling anything MS wont work now, they class me as a traitor and have given me the big UP U!)
And last but not least, if there is anyone available to come and show me how to use this thing I will quite happily marry them!!!!!!
