Unhappy Please Helpp!!!!


can someone please help me set up the g*ddamn lexmark X84-X85 to print from my linux system. The printer is currently connected to my windows xp pro server and is sharing the printer with my linux system. I've read and even trying installing CUPS but but just cant seem to get it to work..what am i missing can someone please help me out if u know anything relating to this problem.

The symptom is that my linux system can see the windows printer, but when trying to print, it print alrite, but NO OUTPUT!!!!

I'm goin insane searching site after site for answer please help me.

i think its just going to be a waiting game, as i don't think this printer is even supported yet....lexmark plain and simple has terrible support in linux, as i can't even get my z25 to work...on lexmarks site and linuxprinting site they have drivers for my printer plus docs on ways of getting it to work, but still no deals...the lexmark site doesn't even supply a linux driver for your printer that they say works nor does linuxprinting even mention it...
even after googling, there isn't much mention of it, let alone ways to get it working....so i don't think your going to get it working as of yet
