Please help .....! Problem with Asterisk Installation


Hi everyone

i have downloaded asterisk-1.4.4.tar.gz ...
when i tried to install it i got the following error message during configuring

well is it truly missing (zaptel.h) ?
if it isn't on your system ,make sure you have zaptel-devel or -debuginfo (depending on your distro)

My understanding is that zaptel.h is not required to compile asterisk. It seems to be failing on the termcap issue. Do you have the kernel sources? Some apps require headers that are bundled that way.
