Please help me to configure Nagios to send email from AWS SES as smtp server


Hi,

Since three days I am trying to configure Nagios to send E-mail notification via an SMTP server, which is configured on AWS SES.

But every time it show this error in /var/log/mail.log

Apr 6 00:02:23 ip-10-10-0-224 postfix/qmgr[13700]: 2DF4F81939: from=<>, size=25 84, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

Apr 6 00:02:23 ip-10-10-0-224 postfix/smtp[16411]: 2DF4F81939: to=<monitoring@ gmail.com>, relay=email-smtp.us-east-1.amazonaws.com[107.21.238.216]:587, de lay=0.12, delays=0.01/0/0.1/0.01, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 Ok)
Apr 6 00:02:23 ip-10-10-0-224 postfix/qmgr[13700]: 2DF4F81939: removed
Apr 6 00:05:43 ip-10-10-0-224 postfix/scache[16413]: statistics: start interval Apr 6 00:01:12


But after some times I get this error..

(in reply to end of DATA command))





Please somebody guide me

You show mails being sent to 2 different people, so where are you actually trying to sent the notifications to and is it a valid e-mail address.

HI TenTenths,
I have solved the problem. Basically there are many receivers for nagios notifications.
First I configured postfix to use SMTP server. Then I use -f <sender email-ID> in command.cfg of Nagios.
