Okay I tried to follow the instructions in the read me but couldn't get this part to work ..

Setup the directory by untarring the proper tarball:

For 32 bit: hybrid-v35-nodebug-pcoem-portsrc.tar.gz
For 64 bit: hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-portsrc.tar.gz

Example:
# mkdir hybrid_wl
# cd hybrid_wl
# tar xzf <path>/hybrid-v35-nodebug-pcoem-portsrc.tar.gz or
<path>/hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-portsrc.tar.gz

Okay so it seems to have worked but nothing really happened afterwards.. My wifi is yet to show up.

root@kali:~# dpkg -i '/root/Desktop/broadcom-sta-source_6.30.223.248-3_all.deb' (Reading database ... 316517 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace broadcom-sta-source 6.30.223.248-3 (using .../broadcom-sta-source_6.30.223.248-3_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement broadcom-sta-source ...
Setting up broadcom-sta-source (6.30.223.248-3) ...
root@kali:~#

Should I have waited longer ?

That is not the package you want, but rather broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.248-3_all.deb

Okay so I did it and got this:

root@kali:~# dpkg -i '/root/Desktop/broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.248-3_all.deb'
Selecting previously unselected package broadcom-sta-dkms.
(Reading database ... 316509 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking broadcom-sta-dkms (from .../broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.248-3_all.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of broadcom-sta-dkms:

I think I need to: apt-get install -y linux-headers-$(uname -r)

But I have no wifi.. So i'd have to manually add the:

deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali main contrib non-free
deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free

and update and install ?

Yes, the broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.248-3_all.deb has a dependency on dkms. You are also going to need to download and install that package so that you can then install the broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.248-3_all.deb package. (This is known as dependency hell).

I am having trouble locating a download location that you could use.

Found it. http://mirror.linux.org.au/debian/pool/main/d/dkms/
I would try with dkms_2.2.0.3-2_all.deb

Yes. My concern is that dkms has a heap of other dependencies that you may also need to satisfy before it will install.
