Please help me find this command

What command would you use to read about the sync system call (not
the sync command)? How would you read a local man page for sync that
was kept in the /usr/local/share/man?

Code:
man -a sync
gives you all man pages about sync.

If you know that you want one about the system call you can say:
Code:
 man 2 sync
(chapter 2 of the man pages is about system calls)
