(Please an urgent help) mount: special device dev/sdb1 does not exist

I need an urgent help
My CentOs 5.2 recently just can show my removable disk in the filesystem . But when I Rclick to mount it I receive the message :
" Unable to mount the the volume removable2
mount: special device dev/sdb1 does not exist "

This happens for all other USB ports too.

What should I do ????
....??????.. ????

Whats so urgent about it? No one but you think its urgent. What have you tried so far to diagnose the issue?
After connecting the usb drive run

dmesg and tell us the output.
And do not ask for urgent help. No one is getting paid here to help you and everyone volunteers own time.

Did you put that in /etc/fstab ?
If so, show us the output of your fstab.

I don't know why you got annoyed ,or may be this type was joking ?!? But it is urgent of course and of course to me due to inconvenience in transferring a big deal of essential data and you know I'm a newbie. Of course who helps the others is much respectable let alone the volunteers.

No I am not joking. There is nothing urgent about this to others. And have you read the rules before posting. You are not paying people here. So do not tell people that it is urgent. Members here will happily help you when they have time off.

What does fdisk -l ( Lower case L ) show as output?
And how many removable disks are connected? Or is it one with lot of partitions?

I can see sdb1, sdc1, and sdd1 connected? Mount them.

thanks for tracing my problem.here is the rasult:

n@dhcppc0 ~]$ fdisk -l
bash: fdisk: command not found

I have just one removable memory connected with 1 partition.
I don't have any sdd.
After running the command: "./MAKEDEV sdb" , I have so many sdb(with different extentions) and sdc , sdc1.
Now trying to mount the memory ends to the massage :
"
"mount: dev/sdb1 is not a valid block device""

To run fdisk you need to be root.

Either use sudo fdisk -l

Or su first and then use fdisk

How are you mounting the partition? Post the command.
Type this which fdisk. It will give you the location of the fdisk binary. You can use the complete path to it. It is usually located in sbin and should be in your PATH. It is quite unusual that this command is not available.
What distribution are you using?

BTW, notice how I placed your long 'dmesg' list within vbcode tag 'code' (#). To make things cleaner therefore easier to read. You could use a pastebin for really large data/lists.

Please post the '/etc/fstab'? Also why did you do;

yes you are right.In addition, I guess there was some ambiguity in my reply too : What I mean from "..... inconvenience in transferring a big deal of essential data[COLOR="Red"][/COLOR] ...... " was not the the output data of your recommended commands ,it was the data that I had to transfer from my home computer to computers in my workplace everyday and the above mentioned problem has prohibited it .
I'm not only a newbie but also from a non English language country.So I request you to remind such mistakes to me and excuse me.
