Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I'm using linuxmint 16 petra kde 64 bit. Heres the secerio: I run playonlinux to install a windows program (doesn't matter which program this happens everytime regardless of what I plan to install, but lets say word), if the program isn't on the limited list of windows programs I choose 'install non-listed program' and this is where playonlinux freezes. When I try to close out the window I get the message 'Python is not responding. Terminate Application Python or Wait Longer.' I choose to wait longer and after an hour there was no difference playonlinux was still frozen. I like the ease of using playonlinux when it works any suggestions?
This is the message that I recieve: Application "python" is not responding
You tried to close window "PlayOnLinux install menu" from application "python" (Process ID: 4812) but the application is not responding.
Do you want to terminate this application?
Warning: Terminating the application will close all of its child windows. Any unsaved data will be lost.
Then I have the choice to terminate the application or wait longer.
