Playing .WMV Files In SuSE 9.2 Pro

Greetings all:

I have a few movies that are .wmv format, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to play these in Linux. I'd like to remove the Windows partition soon enough, so I'll need to know this...

OS: SuSE 9.2 Pro

I understand that I'm going to have to install some codecs, could someone point me to where these codecs would be? (RPM plz)

Also will Kaffeine play these files or am I going to have to install another player, and if so which one?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Not familiar with Kaffeine, but MPlayer is your typical solution for this. It can be a bit of a pain to set up and get going, depending on your distro (SuSE should be fairly easy), but once running, you simply add codecs as needed, and a skin you like, and run with it. It's got plugins for mozilla/firefox/netscape as well, so your browser can open these files also.

Like I said, it isn't always the easiest to get started with, but once you get it going, it's a pleasure to use, and it's probably the most widespread item available for playing wmv files on Linux.
