Playing Win Media Files

I am trying to run some wma files in knoppix, and I need a media player that can handle them, what can I do?

Also, I put a cd in to play, and the media player recognizes the length of the tracks, and even shows time going by, but sound isn't coming out.

An mp3 file I have is playing at about 4 times regular speed.

For the CD not playing, make sure you have a cd audio cable from your cd-rom drive to your sound card or have digital extraction enabled in the player.

Something I forgot to say - when I try to mount the cd it says that it has the wrong filesystem, but the media player will still recognize it and the tracks. It is a commercial cd, not one I made at home.

You can only mount a device/media if it has a file system on it. Audio cd's don't have a file system on them...so you can't mount it but can play it directly with a cd/media player.

Tux,
