Playing videos with mplayer

Ok, I've installed mplayer using yum, and then I even installed the additional codecs for mplayer with help from this guide: http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...ion_notes.html

But I still cannot view the videos at sites such as www.gamespot.com and www.compfused.com

All I get is a grey screen that says mplayer: http://img212.exs.cx/img212/7457/scr...omheadbutt.jpg

Is there anything else I have to do to get it working?

you need the mplayer plugin
lets see, the file was called mplayerplug-in-2.75.tar.gz
and i think it was hosted on sourceforge

Well, I think I already had it installed. But I installed the one from source forge and it still only displays that grey screen.
