I try to install the older xmms-lib from suse 9.2 couse the plugin i download couldn't be installed.
It worked, just open the xmms-lib with konqueror and you'll find "install with Yast" button. I couldn't install with the console because it had a conflict with the new version of xmms.

Hi Guys the correct way to do it is to actually use the YaST tool to do an online update, and select the Multimedia packs, this enables you to play mp3's and limited DVD's(unprotected).

Novell most probably had a reason for doing this other than annoying ppl.

Thanks! I have since Upgraded to Suse 10.0 and had the same problems but then ... I already had a solution ... so I have never been happier!
