Playing .mov files


I don't know what to do if i want to play a quicktime .mov file on my linux machine. can someone help.

Install something like mplayer with all plug ins. Question: have you tried to run a quicktime file? What happenend?

kabootle? opens up and starts playing it, but only the sounds not the video itself, i'll try the mplayer
