Xine or mplayer perhaps? You really have a million choices. Try Xine out if you like..

I'm pretty positive you can download stuff with another computer, then transfer it to yours and install, but since I have never ever used YaST, I can't tell how it works :) but it would sound very stupid if you only could use the internet, so go ahead, download and see how it works. I don't think it's that difficult.

By the way, it's pc not cp. cp is a program for copying files, in Unix and Unix-like systems. pc stands for Personal Computer, whereas I'd say cp stands for Copy.

my guess is, he meant Windows XP, being c is next to x.

Or maybe he meant pc ( personal computer ), or that could be his abbreviation for computer ( cp ? ). Regardless, of course you can download source archives and packages ( rpm, deb, depends on OS ) to portable media and transfer them to your Linux box. The potential heartache would be if you are missing dependencies for either, b/c then you will have to run back and forth between computers until you get all dependencies satisfied and can install the application that you want.

G/L though.

yeah, maybe it's not XP, being I see cp twice.
Anyway, something helpful. This is my topic that I posted on here a while back.
Hope it helps, and I'm sorry if I veered you off:
