PKG_CONFIG_PATH problem in debian wheezy

Dear all,
i have a problem in installing uget-1.3.tar.bz
ERROR...

checking for GTK... no
configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-3.0 >= 3.4) were not met:

No package 'gtk+-3.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTK_CFLAGS
and GTK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details

Is there a specific reason why you want to install uget from source?

uget (1.8.2) is part of the packages that come with Debian. Using aptitude install uget will install uget and its dependencies.

uget-1.3 has unmet dependencies.

The correct GTK version couldn't be found on your machine (blue part).

There is the possibility that the correct GTK is installed, but that it cannot be found with the methods used. The green part tells you what you can try if this is the case.

Most of the time the above points to a package that isn't installed rather than one that cannot be found.

Means : No "package config file" by name `gtk+-3.0.pc' was found.

"gtk+-3.0.pc" is provided by the package 'libgtk-3-dev'.
