Hi Nurr.aiman,

Welcome to LQ!

Ping to where?

Let me suggest you make your question clearer by giving us all the necessary information to diagnose the case and recommend solutions. Please give us more backgrounder to your case:

1. What
Code:
ifconfig -a
gives? post the output.

2. Post the output of this query:
Code:
~# netstat -r
3. Tell us how your ping was issued.

At least your friends around shall have enough to think about for a viable solution to your problem.

Hope that helps.

It seems you don't have an ipv6 gateway. Could you post the output of ip -6 route?

As you can see, your system is unable to reach most networks. Your IPv6 default gateway is 2400:4000:2:500::a1. Can you ping this address? If so, how far does traceroute6 ipv6.google.com get?

yes.. the problem is i couldn't ping the gateway itself. I got ipv6 address... i did many things such as mod probe, sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding=1

# ip -6 addr
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 16436
inet6 ::1/128 scope host
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: em1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qlen 1000
inet6 2400:4000:2:500::141/64 scope global
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
inet6 fe80::d6ae:52ff:fec1:7203/64 scope link
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

# traceroute6 ipv6.google.com
traceroute to ipv6.google.com (2404:6800:4001:c01::93), 30 hops max, 80 byte packets

!H means "host unreachable".

Either you're using the wrong gateway IPv6 address, or there's something wrong with the configuration on your gateway/router.

The error message is very clear: the IPv6 address 2400:4000:2:500::a1 does not respond to Neighbor Discovery packets.

Make sure there really is a network connection (layer 2) between the PC and the gateway, and that you are indeed using the right gateway address.

What sort of gateway are you using? A router, another Linux PC, or something else entirely? How did you configure IPv6 on your PC? DHCP or manual configuration?
