well i checked all n did as you all suggested but firewall isnt blocking any site,it says accept all..

what should be there with the reject,it should be reject all or none?

and with about:config, network.dns.disable-ipv6 said false...should it be true?

oh k k...thanks..

i will make that network.dns.disable-ipv6 to true and try again...

n wat abt that reject option in iptables ,should it be reject all or reject none?

As said before that, try disabling your firewall all together just to double check that it is not interfering.

Try other browsers: wget and/or curl are simple to try. That will probably demonstrate whether it is a browser configuration matter, or a network matter. Perhaps try loading a page that is not on a conventional port. Sorry I can't point to one off the top of my head; maybe someone else knows a server that uses an odd port.
