Smile Pilot Problems !!!

Well guess what I got my pilot to work like a charm using jpilot- but now Kpilot keeps poping up and screwing up the connection up jpilot.
I looked for a way to unistall the kpilot in Mandrake uninstall utillity and cannot find it (Kpilot).
How do you disable the $%^# thing from poping up when I am trying to sync with jpilot?

Nice to know at least both of wanna try to work - but Kpilot will not show the information like jpilot did- ( this was nice to see considering I have tried for days to get kpilot to it with no avail- pleading. threats or in general mayhem to it just sits there acting like the dumb program taking up space-- reminds me of Redmands brainchild--Windows ME- uuuhhhggg...)

Any suggestions on how to kpilot would be greatly apreciated.

I believe kpilot uses a daemon called "kpilotDaemon". If you can't uninstall kpilot you should be able to disable the daemon using kpilot (settings->configure or kpilot --setup) and setting these option correctly:

Start HotSync Daemon at login
Start KPilot at HotSync
Show Daemon in Kicker
Stop Daemon on exit

I'd assume you only want it true for the last one.

You know I really can't get this stupid kpilot to STOP poping up , I am ready to shoot it.. >>> I think I will Bang.. missed

Ok I tried this and it still pop up causing mayhem to my Jpilot which works.
I tried changing the port on the Kpilot and the stupid thing actslike plug & play
Popups and does nothing but cause problems. ARRRGGHHHH

I Can some tell a way to delete this piece of ill advised software.
I think I going to try Gnome once more and see if I can get jpilot to work there.
For some reason Gnome hangs on me in Mandrake but not RH8?
