Pick you brains please
 

Hi
I would like to pick you brains if I may, I have installed WIKI on my PC no problems with UBUNTU fiesty fawn (I think) anyway what would be the best distro for a novice to put on an elderly Sony Vaio laptop with 800mhz duron mobile processor and 128MB of ram, just for general use, email office stuff etc.

Suse it generally good with older equipment, but bloated for small hard drives. Try a few liveCDs; see which ones do the best job of detecting your hardware.

Slackware ... probably a somewhat older release for that limited
amount of RAM, and choose a light WM like fluxbox maybe...

I've heard that Damn Small Linux is very useful for limited space. It is a live cd.
