This is what I did:

Running Fedora 14 with openldap en zarafa.
After this, I used yum install phpmyadmin. The installation went well, but I can't login. When I go to http://localhost/phpMyAdmin is keeps giving me the window where I have to enter a username and password. Whatever I try, the windows keeps returning without giving an error.
I can login at MySQL with the terminal using root en not entering a password.

Any ideas why phpMyAdmin is refusing me to login?

You need a password. Set the mySQL root password at the command line, then try phpMyAdmin again.
